Andy Bagshaw, chairman of Hasland Community Football Club, values his club’s link-up with Chesterfield FC Junior Academy.
Speaking at a recent event involving teams from Hasland taking on Spireites academy teams, Andy said: “We’ve worked with Chesterfield for some time now and to be honest with you, it just gets better and better over time, especially with the takeover with the Community Trust.
“In our club alone, we’ve got around 250 young people involved in football and we like to see all of them doing something positive.”
The importance of grassroots clubs to the Spireites has been outlined by academy manager Neil Cluxton.
