The Trust recently hosted the National League Trust Northern Finals, staged at Staveley Miners Welfare FC.
The event saw boys and girls in 16 teams at Under-11 level competing for the opportunity to play at Wembley before the National League Promotion Final.
Sue O’Brien, the National League Trust’s project manager, praised the Spireites for the work they have done while being in the National League over the last six years.
She said: “They deliver across the range of all activities that we would hope that a Community Trust would work in….we’re going to miss them when they’re promoted because they’re very good at what they do.”
Chesterfield FC Community Trust CEO John Croot said: “It shows how much the Trust has moved on over the last ten years that we’re able to host things like this. There’s more than people realise putting a day like this together.”
