Alongside the African Caribbean Community Association, the Trust will be hosting an evening with Jefferson King – ‘Shadow’ from the original Gladiators TV show – on Wednesday evening at Chesterfield Library.
Jefferson will talk about his time on the show and his life afterwards, including his personal journey, including the peaks and valleys of steroid abuse.
A project to highlight the dangers of steroid abuse is being put together with support from the family of Neil Currey, who sadly passed away last year. The family want Neil’s legacy to be helping educate people around steroid usage and the dangers involved. Jefferson will speak about this, along with partners from Derbyshire Addictions Advice Service (DAAS) and Relate Chesterfield & North Derbyshire.
