Win a unique piece of Spireites memorabilia

Matthew Greenan, aka The Stone Ranger, is a Spireites supporting Peak Park ranger. He also hand carves stone to make uniquely individual, hugely impressive work pieces.

Matthew contacted the family of Ernie Moss and offered to hand carve a unique piece, in Derbyshire Stone, of the Chesterfield FC crest. Any proceeds will go towards helping to extend the Chesterfield FC Memorial Garden and install a permanent memorial for Ernie, who opened the garden along with Jamie Hewitt almost ten years ago. Matthew has shaped the stone and marked out the Spireites logo ready for hand carving; this can be seen in the image.

The value of the piece, which Matthew is set to create from 10am this Sunday, taking around five to six hours, would be around £450. You have the opportunity not only to watch it being carved live via Matt’s YouTube Channel (www.youtube.com/@TheStoneRanger) but also to win it via this raffle, with tickets costing £5 each (you can buy as many as you like) with all monies raised being ring-fenced for the memorial.

Before that, from today (Wednesday), you will be able to hear Matthew chatting about the project on a specially recorded podcast that will be posted on David Garrett’s Legends of The Spire platform

Thanks to Matt, and good luck in the raffle, let’s try and reward The Stone Ranger’s generosity and raise substantial funds for the Memorial Garden project!
