The Community Trust currently has multiple vacancies for the below job roles to join the Camp Inspire team – nominated for the UK Coaching Award – specialising in inclusion and well-being:

  • Group Lead/Assistant
  • Delivery Lead (Sport, Enrichment, Nutrition)
  • One-to-One Support 
  • Behaviour Management

About Camp Inspire: 

Camp Inspire is a Health & Wellbeing holiday camp for 4 to 16-year-olds, focused on enhancing wellbeing and developing soft skills through structured fun activities. The programme will be delivered in partnership with Staveley Junior School and government funded through StreetGames Holiday Activity Food (HAF) programme.

The HAF programme aims to ensure children/ young people who attend this provision to; eat healthy over the school holidays, be active during school holidays, take part in engaging and enriching activities which support the development of resilience, character, and wellbeing, along with their wider educational attainment, be safe and not to be socially isolated, have a greater knowledge of health and nutrition, and to be more engaged in school and other local services. 

Correspondingly, the HAF programme aim to ensure that families who participate in this programme; develop their understanding of nutrition and food budgeting and are signposted towards other information and support. For example, health, employment, and education.

Responsibilities:

  • Take a pastoral role as a group leader or assistant, welcoming new children into your group and liaising with the camp manager and/or parents as necessary
  • Ensure all policies and procedures on camp are adhered to by yourself and the children in your care, including all health and safety, and safeguarding procedures
  • Safely transfer your group of participants to different sessions in a safe manner and facilitate the group during lunch times.
  • Continuously promote the welfare of the children in your care
  • Show the required energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism for the duration of the sessions, acting as an ambassador for Camp Inspire and behaving as a suitable role model for children
  • At all times behave in a manner that reflects the expectations of Camp Inspire
  • Other ad-hoc duties or roles (delivering, one-to-one, pastoral, behaviour management, cleaning, equipment maintenance etc).

Candidate requirements:

  • Previous experience working on holiday clubs delivering physical activities (Preferred)
  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (Preferred)
  • Flexible, team player, able to adapt to dynamic situations and challenges on Camp (Essential)
  • Good organisation and communication skills (Essential)
  • Someone looking for a challenging, different but hugely rewarding fun job in the holidays looking to further their career in the childcare/ coaching industry.

Further Information:

  • Contract: Seasonal work available in School Holidays (Easter, summer, Christmas, and half terms)
  • Hours: 9.30am – 2.30pm 
  • Pay: £10 per hour – may vary based on experience and role
