The Covid-19 test centre, based in the car park at the Technique Stadium until recently, resulted in tens of thousands of people being tested.
Dr Joanne Finney, DHU Health Care’s head of clinical audit & quality improvement, praised the club and the Community Trust for ensuring the success of the facility.
Dr Finney said: “Your support has been greatly appreciated by the senior management team members.
“I greatly and humbly appreciate the extra time you devoted for this venture and made it a success, I truly believe that it would have been impossible without your involvement.
The team have undertaken in the region of 45,000 swabs in the past 12 months which is an incredible achievement…it is a privilege to have worked with such a fantastic team.”
John Croot, chief executive of Chesterfield FC and Chesterfield FC Community Trust, said: “We were delighted to be able to help the NHS during the pandemic and it is great to know that so many people were tested.”
