Great turnout and support for A-Rock Fun Run for Ernie Moss

One of the organisers of Sunday’s A-Rock Fun Run for Ernie Moss has expressed delight at how the event went.

Nikki Trueman, one of Ernie’s daughters, helped organise the event alongside various people including her sister Sarah.

When asked for her thoughts, Nikki said: “The support has been out of this world. Seeing everybody warming up and running with their ‘Ernie 8’ shirts on…it’s just amazing.

“For the first one that we’ve ever done, the turnout and support has been great.”

Around 125 people took part in the run and there was also a raffle and the sale of keyrings on the day, helping to raise thousands of pounds.

Nikki explained that the funds raised will go towards enhancing the Memorial Garden at the Technique Stadium, featuring a permanent memorial to her father

“It’s not just Dad’s memorial that we’re wanting. It’s also going to extend the Memorial Garden at the football club, so anything we raise is a bonus.”
