On Friday 19th January, the Trust launched the Pan-Disability Football Sessions at St Mary’s Catholic School.

The children really enjoyed the first session as they showed off their skills and took part in a few fun activities with the night’s special guest, Leon Taylor.

Leon Taylor, GB Paralympic and England Cerebral Palsy goalkeeper, told the children some inspirational stories about his career and even joined in with a game at the end.

Dylan Bath, co-ordinator of the project said, “The first session was brilliant. The children enjoyed the session and the activities very much. Leon Taylor was also fantastic. His stories were captivating and inspiring and he also showed us a few skills in the game at the end.”

The Pan-Disability Football Sessions will take place weekly on Friday from 7-8 pm. The session is run by FA Disability Football Qualified Coaches; the first session is free and then available for a small charge of £3 thereafter.

For more information on the sessions, visit our website, email the Activities Team or call the office on 01246 264030.
