Last Monday, Miss Kerry’s class from Model Village Primary School visited the Proact Stadium to attend an educational day centered around historical change at Chesterfield FC.

Governance Officer, Pete Whiteley kicked off proceedings by showing the students photos and videos of games being played at both Saltergate and the Proact. This was then followed up with an in-depth stadium tour.

When the kids got back to their base for the day, they were greeted by Joe Rowley. The pupils faced the task with asking the young midfielder numerous types of questions. They ranged from his memories of the club and that goal against Mansfield Town.

Miss Kerry said, “It was a great day for the kids. They really enjoyed it and also learned a lot about the past and present of the football club.”

Norbriggs Primary School also had a player visit when Dylan Parkin visited the young pupils.

The goalkeeper talked about what it took to be a professional footballer and how much work you have to put in. Dylan captivated the students about his journey to becoming a Chesterfield FC player.
