Record Engagement During Half-term Break
It was a record-breaking half-term break for the Chesterfield FC Community Trust with a higher than level of engagement than ever before.
The Spireites Sports Club, held at St Mary’s Catholic High School, featured around 200 appearances while the Pan-disability Holiday Club and the Spireites Girls Sports Club attracted 60 and 22 attendees respectively.
There were also over 1,000 visitors to Chester’s Den during the week with the play centre hosting five birthday parties.
Keith Jackson, the Trust’s head of sport and activities, said: “We have seen some phenomenal numbers, which for us means more opportunities for friendships, games and memories for everyone.
“We had some great visits from Spireites players Robbie Weir, Charlie Wakefield, Joe Rowley and Sam Wedgbury and even Chester himself! It was great to have their support.
“We’ve already started planning the Easter half-term activities to be bigger and better – watch this space!”
