Once a player leaves the ETC at 16 years of age, they are given the opportunity to remain within the football club in the form of the Football and Education programme.
The programme offers players the chance to train full time, whilst gaining an education at Outwood Academy at Newbold.
Outwood offer the players the chance to study a BTEC Level 3 in Sports (Equivalent to 3 A-Levels), or a BTEC in Sport (Equivalent to 2 A-Levels), plus one additional A-Level in another subject. All of which give the players the opportunity to progress in to higher education should they wish to.
The players train 3 times a week, with games taking place on a Wednesday against the likes of Everton, Sunderland, Burnley and Crystal Palace.
