During the Spring Bank Half Term, participants from our Pan-Disability football session and participants in the local area were given the chance to play on the hallowed turf of the Proact Stadium.
The session included many fun activities; in particular the participants were given the chance to emulate their beloved professional footballing heroes by scoring a penalty at the Kop end.
We had a number of participants who attend the session, who loved the fun-filled session. As well as that, they were treated to a stadium tour and an appearance from our beloved mascot, Chester the Field Mouse.
Dylan Bath, coordinator of the Disability sessions, said, “It was great to see the young participants enjoying themselves on the pitch and relishing the opportunity to play on the Proact Stadium. This is definitely something that doesn’t happen every day and hopefully all the kids in attendance will remember this experience for a long time to come.
Our Pan-Disability sessions run on a Friday night at St Mary’s Catholic High School from 7-8 pm. For more information on the session, visit our Pan-Disability page, email the Activities Team or call the office on 01246 264030.
