Chesterfield FC Community Trust deliver a weekly Premier League Primary Stars Session at Youlgrave All Saints’ CE (VA) Primary School, offering a free six week teacher support programme aimed at giving teachers a fresh outlook on PE delivery. Our AfPE Level 3 and FA Level 2 Qualified Staff work alongside Primary School teachers looking at the planning, delivery and reflection of sessions.
Class 2 teacher, Dan McVeigh said, ” As a newly qualified teacher in my first year of school, working alongside experienced coaches helps me to develop my knowledge and understanding of quality PE coaching.”
Class 3 teacher, Tim James stated, “The children really enjoy having Nathan and Josh come into school to deliver the Primary Stars Programme, and working alongside them has enabled me to develop my own PE lessons.”
Keith Jackson, Activities Manager at the Community Trust added, “The PLPS programme has been a huge success, enabling us to work alongside teachers and share our experience as coaches with them, with a long term plan of increasing confidence and enhancing the schools overall PE delivery. We are delighted to be working with the Premier League on this project as their support has enabled us to deliver some great sessions since the start of this academic year. All Saints’ School is just one of our partners that have taken us up on the offer and having spent time with their staff at sessions, they are very pleased with how the programme has worked for them.”
