On Friday 29th December, the Trust hosted the Young Spireites Christmas Party in the SBK Computers Spires Restaurant at the Proact Stadium.
Chester the Field Mouse kicked off proceedings by greeting the 39 Young Spireites and their families that attended the party. The children were then treated to brilliant show by Percy the Pirate. The Young Spireites enjoyed the fun and games before helping Percy the Pirate magically colour in his picture.
The Chesterfield F.C. squad then arrived at the party to any questions that kids may have had. There were some really good questions including ‘Would you fight 100 duck sized Akinfenwa’s or one Akinfenwa sized duck?’ ‘What is your favourite ever Christmas present?’ And finally, ‘Who is your favourite team and football player?’
The party then ended after the Young Spireites and their family tucked into a lovely buffet provided by the catering staff at the Proact Stadium.
We would like to thank anyone that attended the party and made it special. We would also like to thank the Chesterfield F.C. squad for attending and asking the children’s question, Mr T. Baker and Mr. Sorbin for donating and the Bridge Inn Blues Away Travel for sponsoring the party.
