The Chesterfield FC ETC is the official player pathway for talented young players in Chesterfield and surrounding areas. Run by the Community Trust – in partnership with the Spireites academy – the weekly training sessions will provide youngsters with professional coaching delivered by FA qualified coaching staff.
Academy manager Matt Whitehouse said: “The weekly sessions will be delivered in an environment designed to help young players develop and give them the opportunity to have a future in the game. Working alongside the academy, the ETC coaches will work to the same schemes of work, meaning the transition for a player from the ETC to the academy should be seamless.
As part of the OFFICIAL Chesterfield FC Player Pathway, the Emerging Talent Centre is the place to be for any aspiring young footballer in Chesterfield and surrounding areas.
Players and parents will receive regular feedback on performance from their coach with further feedback given via report on a 3 month cycle.
After each 3 month cycle and following feedback from their coach, players will be promoted/retained/demoted throughout the Chesterfield FC Player Pathway giving youngsters who show potential the opportunity to progress to the CFC Academy.
The Emerging Talent Centre will support Chesterfield FC to produce homegrown talent through a pathway supported by all parts of the club, including the CFC Academy and Chesterfield FC Community Trust.
John Croot said: “The Emerging Talent Centre is a fantastic way for the whole club to work together with the main focus being to develop young players and give them the opportunity of having a future in football. The ETC project is something that everyone at the club, academy and Community Trust are very excited about and looking forward to getting started.”
Should a youngster be invited to join the Emerging Talent Centre following the open trials, they will be invited to join for an initial 3 month period. The cost for a player to join the ETC is just £25.00 per month.
