We’re planning to put on a Sports Media Workshop for aspiring young sports journalists.
The Inspire Media Academy workshop is delivered by Chesterfield FC media chief Nick Johnson, who is the longest-serving reporter on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday show.
Nick has also reported extensively for the Press Association and Reuters, as well as being the author of a number of books on football.
He will pass on his experience to youngsters who are interested in a career in sports media.
The one-day workshop will cover the following:
– Match reporting
– Sports news writing
– Interviewing techniques, followed by a group interview session with a Chesterfield player
– Commentary tips, with the opportunity to commentate on footage of a goal, which is recorded
