The Santa Fun Run, which started and finished at the Technique Stadium, attracted around 250 participants.
Organised by Cannon Events, the event featured a kids race, followed by a run into the town centre before returning to the stadium.
Money was raised for Ashgate Hospice as part of the North-East Derbyshire County Council Chair’s Appeal and the Community Trust.
Organiser John Cannon was delighted with the turnout, saying: “It was nice to see a lot of people attend, having a good time. Working with the Community Trust, the Technique Stadium is a brilliant venue, providing a nice, safe environment.”
Martin Thacker, chair of North-East Derbyshire District Council, added: “It’s a great amount of support from people backing a worthy cause. I am impressed with people’s commitment. Well done to all those who took part!”
