Organiser Tony Lormor was pleased with how the first meeting of the Trust’s new Cancer Support Group went.
“It went as well as I could have imagined, to be honest,” said the former Chesterfield striker., who was joined by another former Spireit
Tony was joined by another former Spireites favourite, Derek Niven, who talked to the group about his own battle with cancer.
John Croot, CEO of the Trust, also made an appearance at the meeting in the HUB, which was attended by around 20 people.
There are plans to hold further meetings in the future, with Tony explaining that he is keen for the group members to set the agenda.
