A Premier League Reading Stars programme at Spire Junior School ended earlier this week.
Aimed at encouraging pupils to engage with literacy, using football as a way of engaging with them, the six-week programme was deemed to have been a great success.
A social media post from Spire Junior School read: “A huge thank you to Alyss and Darren from Chesterfield FC Community Trust for supporting some of our pupils with the Reading Stars programme this term. You’ve inspired them and improved their reading.”
