Activity target smashed!

Youngsters in the Chesterfield FC Junior Academy and ETC smashed a week-long activity target which ended last night!

The aim was to get the youngsters to be more active and cover 1,089 miles during the seven-day period – the number of miles the team bus will travel this season.

The challenge was completed comfortably and they even managed a ‘trip to Wembley’, increasing the figure to 1,288.24 miles in total!

Academy manager Neil Cluxton congratulated the youngsters on their achievement. He said: “Our young footballers have worked tremendously hard to achieve the challenge set by academy coach Darren Parkinson.

“This hard work will also stand them in good stead when the Junior Premier League resumes on April 10.”
