Trust staff help out at Gussie’s Kitchen

Trust staff helped out at Gussie’s Kitchen in Grangewood earlier this week, helping their team of volunteers deliver more than 150 food parcels across Chesterfield.

Gussie’s Kitchen is a place where anyone in need can get in touch for support in putting food on the table.

Keith Jackson, the Trust’s head of sport and activities, said: “It was a fantastic team effort in a safe and socially distanced way, with all the necessary PPE in place.

“With food going to single adults and families of different sizes and ages, it shows that this can affect anyone in our community.

“Well done to the team at Gussie’s for their fantastic work – we will be back to help again next week!”

Gussie’s are always on the lookout for more volunteers, particularly with deliveries on a Tuesday, so if you have your own transport and could offer some time, please contact them via their Facebook page or email
