A Spire Right

Funding has once again been secured from Derbyshire County Council to deliver the final A Spire Right programme before Christmas.

The award-winning programme helps those who are recovering from substance misuse.

Delivered three mornings a week over eight weeks, A Spire Right features sessions designed to help cohorts with their physical and mental health.

Andrea Parkinson, the Trust’s senior education and wellbeing officer, said: “We are delighted to be able to deliver a cohort before Christmas and we thank Derbyshire County Council for their ongoing support.

“For the participants we engage with, it is important for them to have structure and routine in their lives.

“We have all the right guidance and policies in place to make sure we can deliver A Spire Right as safely as possible.

“During lockdown, we made sure we kept in contact with previous participants via Zoom and phone calls.”

A Spire Right won a Best Intervention Project award in the National League Awards.
