Last month, Chesterfield FC legend Tony Lormor visited the Spireites Football for Life team to share his experiences not only in football but in life as well.
Tony gave a very honest and open appraisal about what it is like to be a professional footballer and the huge impact it has on your mental health and your life outside the game.
Nathan Khan, Coach of the Football for Life team, said, “It’s great to get people like Tony down here. He’s an inspiration to the lads. The lads love events like this and it shows that the club really care about them.”
Ash Warren of the Football for Life team, said, “It’s amazing to hear from somebody who has achieved what Tony has in the game but also reflects on things just like we do. It’s been a fantastic experience. A huge thank you to Tony for coming down and supporting us.”
